If his followers asked him to step down as CEO of the company, it would be no different from his previous failures.

His poll came after many weeks of chaos, knee- jerk decision making, and baffling policy changes that have greatly eroded the already imperfect brand.

What's its result? Roughly 10 million accounts said he should leave. The result of the poll may have caught Musk off guard, as he fell silent after the results were announced.

He seems to be trying to get out of the result.

It's not the first time Musk has used bots as an excuse, after trying to use them to avoid his $44 billion offer to buy the company. Logistically, why would he have run the poll if he already knew the results?

Since he owns the company, Musk can do what he wants with it. His original vision of a place where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner is nowhere to be found.
