Space Force Official Reportedly Showed Off Sex Toys at Work

The only military branch of its kind, it is tasked with overseeing everything from military satellites to top secret spaceplanes. The real thing may have more in common with the real thing than we've thought.

According to the Air Force Times, the head of the Space Warfighting Analysis Center of the United States Space Force Andrew Cox has engaged in what sounds like incredibly inappropriate workplace behavior. The 2020 investigation by the Air Force inspector general into Cox's behavior reads like an episode of "The Office" right down to the "that's what she said" jokes.

The revelations paint a startling picture of the internal workings of the Space Security and Defense Program, which sounds more like a frat house than a Pentagon branch.

Cox received sex toys and other paraphernalia at a holiday party years before the Space Force was established.

A female interviewer told the inspector general's office that she saw the director dangling handcuffs from his hands when she turned around.

I remember hearing another purring sound from Mr. Di Pentino, but I didn't hear anyone suggest that they change the topic.

A person told the publication that he has a leadership style where he likes to bring everyone in and have a lot of people in the room. He is acting like a child when he is not talking.

Cox wore a "mankini" over his clothes, a skimpy one-piece bathing suit, in the mockumentary "Borat."

Cox was a senior employee at the Space Force and was accused of many things. The inspector general's report on his behavior was released a month before he was promoted.

The investigation concluded that his conduct was improper and unsuitable.

Cox got away with a slap on the wrist but lost out on a bonus.

Considering the US military's track record, none of that is good. One in four servicewomen have experienced sexual assault in the military. More than half of them have been harassed.

Many of these cases remain unreported and the work culture in the US military leaves much to be desired.
