Miles Morgan Travel is looking to recruit for two new senior roles as it looks to grow.

After taking a break from travel during Covid, many of the agency chain's clients returned to book in the new year.

The last five months have seen unprecedented trading levels.

Speaking at a three-day training event for more than 100 staff with 36 suppliers, managing directorMandy Shillito said the chain was reaping the benefits of its affluent and retired customer base.

December preparation will make a difference if we embrace 2023.

Customers are time-rich and save money during Covid. During Covid, they were more cautious and now they are the opposite.

They want to travel and have a good time. A lot of bigger bookings are being seen by us.

The return of escorted touring and bucket list bookings has helped the agency.

New customers and further out bookings were reported.

Shillito said that they are getting lots of new customers and that they are seeing advance registration for big trips in the future. The face-to-face service is popular among people.

The agency will continue to promote its brand on regional TV after Christmas.

Shillito said: "We won't take anything for granted but we're expecting a record in 2023 and that's down to the team and their work through Covid." Our reputation on the high street is getting better. We will be there through thick and thin as we were through the Pandemic.

The agency is looking for two new senior roles, a commercial manager and a digital manager, because of the growth predictions.

The agency has many preferred partners. Shillito said that they have taken on six partners to fill gaps in their portfolio.
