England won the T20 Cricket World Cup and the Euro 2022.
The Beijing Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games were held in the same year.
Three Rugby League World Cup were held in the year, with England winning the wheelchair competition.

Lionel Messi was named World Sport Star of the Year after guiding his team to World Cup glory, and Jamaica's eight-time Olympic gold medal winning sprinter, Usain Bolt, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award.
Sky Brown, gymnast Jessica Gadirova and diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix are the three nominees for the young sports personality of the year.
The best volunteers in sport have been nominated for the award.
They will be announced on the night of the show.
A panel chaired by the BBC's director of sport, Barbara Slater, and consisting of representatives from the world of sport, met in November to decide on the main shortlist, as well as the coach and team of the year award winners.
After becoming the first British woman in 37 years to win a Grand Slam singles title, tennis star Emma raducanu won last year's award.
She made her Grand Slam main draw debut in the Wimbledon fourth round after her remarkable win at the US Open.
