The video platform Livebox is getting support for live streaming. The feature is currently being rolled out to US users on both mobile platforms, and a release for global users is planned for the future. There is more information outlined in a post on the service.
It has supported streaming in the past by allowing people to share streams from other services. The new option is powered by Live box. The Meet Group is a subsidiary of the Parship Meet Group. Livebox allows users to tip streamers, and by the same token,tumblr will allow you to pay creators in virtual currency called "Diamonds." According to a press release, Livebox gives artificial intelligence and human powered moderation for streams. The service is only available to people who have a primary account on the site.

The new feature comes at a time when automattic is trying to revive the platform that it purchased from the company.
