One user noticed something strange about the replies to their tweets. After digging a little deeper, user Pieter Levels found that some users are now using the popular text-generating artificial intelligence to reply to their followers on the platform.
At 8:56 a.m., Levels used a two line meme to joke about his nomadic friends. In seven minutes, Levels received a reply from an account with a display name that claimed to be a developer, educator, and founder. "Levels" was the reply from Tripathi.

A piece of text that was very similar to Tripathi's reply was spat out by the Artificial Intelligence. According to Levels, he believed that all of the posts on Tripathi's account were created using the internet.
Tripathi confirmed that his reply was created using artificial intelligence. Tripathi said that they have been playing with automation. Tripathi denied Level's accusation that his account was created using artificial intelligence. Tripathi didn't know how many of his tweets were generated.
Levels didn't reply to Gizmodo's request for comment.
The Internet has been a hive of activity since it opened to the public last month. The ability to string together paragraphs of information that can logically convey a single point is something that has been lacking in previous artificial intelligence.
