The Golden Ball, awarded to the best player at the World Cup, went to the Paris St.Germain forward.

One of the greatest football players of all time is the former Barcelona star.

Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw in the World Cup final, with Messi scoring twice and converting a penalty.

He added the Ballons d'Or to his trophy cabinet, which already included seven, including one for the best footballer each year.

He has scored over 800 goals in his career.

Everyone's dream is when they're small. Messi said after winning the World Cup that he found what he was missing.

In the 2022-23 season, Messi has scored 12 times and provided 14 assists in 19 appearances for Paris St-Germain.

Messi will turn 39 in the year of the next World Cup, which will take place in Mexico. It was the perfect way for him to end his international career after Argentina's win.
