Tom Cruise thanked fans for their support after jumping out of a plane and diving into the ocean. A behind-the-scenes look at the "biggest stunt in cinema history" was released by Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.

The video shows how Cruise prepared to jump a motorcycle off a cliff, complete a base jump, and parachute to safety on the first day of filming M:I 7. Cruise said that he wanted to do this since he was a small child.

It took a year of preparation and training for a stunt like this to be done. Cruise had to do base jumping, skydiving, canopy control, and motocross before he could practice. Cruise jumped over 500 times in preparation for the stunt. Christopher McQuarrie knew where to put the cameras because he had practiced on a model ramp for hours. Tom Cruise did it six times when he was done with the stunt in Norway.

Mission:Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One will be the seventh movie in the series. The actors from the previous M:I films will reprise their roles.
