Dante Moore, the third-ranked player in the Class of 2023, told the sports network that he has changed his college commitment to UCLA.

Moore is from Detroit's Martin Luther King High School.

Moore said he picked UCLA because he felt that it would be best for his development.

Moore said that he visited UCLA. I spoke to God and my people. UCLA was the right place for me.

The biggest factor in Moore's flip from Oregon was the head-coaching job at Arizona State held by Kenny Dillingham. He said that he had a relationship with the person for three years. He said that he appreciated everything that Oregon's staff did during his recruitment and that he was happy for him.

Moore had been there for a long time. The quarterback's decision to return next year did not factor into his decision. The Oregon coaches handled his decision well, he said.

Moore said that he loves the spot. There is no love lost at all. They recruited me and took my commitment.

Moore's commitment is the highest-profile win of Kelly's tenure in Westwood. Moore is in the middle of the pack in the rankings.

Moore's commitment ties a record for UCLA as he's the third player in the class and the highest ranked. The rankings went back to the year 2006 Moore is the first five-star recruit Kelly has ever had.

The decision to join the Big Ten was a factor in Moore's choice.

He said that exposure on TV will help him market himself as a quarterback and an athlete.

Moore said that NIL wasn't a factor in his decision. He said he wouldn't go to NIL meetings if they showed up on his itinerary if he played well at UCLA. He didn't want a dollar amount thrown at him by a school because he didn't want it to be a factor in his decision.

He wants to be a college student and continue to play football. Football is my number one priority. I can keep that as the main thing.

Moore said he had a good relationship with Kelly, quarterback coach Ryan Gunderson and wide receiver coach Jerry Neuheisel.

Kelly is one of the most innovative offensive playcallers in college football, and Moore gives him a high-profile quarterback who could be a linchpin for the Bruins.

Moore remembers the run-pass option game that Kelly ran at Oregon before he left to become the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelly has a 17-7 record in the past two years at UCLA.

The campaign was derailed by injury.

Kelly worked with Darron Thomas on a team that played for the national title in 2010 and led Marcus Mariota to a redshirt freshman season in 2012 while he was still at Oregon. Kelly's return to college football at UCLA featured five years of Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the primary starter at quarterback and 36 touchdown runs.

Kelly was the head coach of both the Eagles and 49ers. Moore mentioned Kelly as someone he had watched over the course of the year.

Moore felt like he found a place that could develop him the best when he was at UCLA.

Moore said that the coach told them not to rush anything because he was in the game for so long. He said that the coach is very intelligent. He knows a lot about quarterbacks and has a program to help them. I can trust my years in college to Coach Kelly because he is a mentor.

Moore is the second quarterback to commit to UCLA recently. The Kent State transfer said he was going to the Bruins.

Moore is graduating early from high school and will enroll at UCLA in the new year.
