Elon Musk is shown standing next to Jared Kushner with his arms crossed.

One of Musk's favorite ways to make decisions is to use a poll. Musk asked in the 12-hour poll if he should step down as head of the micro-blogging site. The results are in, and the people voted in favor of it.

The billionaire's poll had more than 17 million votes. More than 10 million people voted for Musk to step down as head of the social networking site. It is not clear what Musk will do with the results. He could do the same thing he did when he asked users to vote on when he should unsuspend the accounts of people, many of them journalists, who he claims revealed his location in real time.

The chief twit didn't comment on the results by Monday.

Musk's poll was published after he was seen chilling with a friend at the World Cup. About an hour later, he changed his mind.

It is not clear what Musk's position is about possibly giving up his throne atTwitter, which he has enjoyed ruling over the last month and a half. After publishing his poll on Sunday, Musk said that the real challenge at hand was finding a CEO that could keep the service alive. Some users had claimed that he had found a new replacement.

One user claimed that Musk would hang up his crown and that no one wanted the job. There isn't a new person.

Taking over the social networking site caused him a lot of pain. The billionaire said there was one catch after responding to a comment from a researcher at MIT.

You must be a big fan of pain. Since May, when you have to invest your life savings in Twitter, it has been in the fast lane to go bankrupt. I still want the job. Musk made a statement.

Musk's poll comes at a time when investors in the company are unhappy. It has lost more than half of its value this year. According to Yahoo, most of the losses for investors in the company began after Musk tried to back out of a deal to buy the social networking site.

Musk was slammed by a major shareholder last week for abandoning the company.

Elon abandoned the company and there is no CEO. It's time forTesla to have a full-time CEO.

Musk might be able to justify spending more time at his company, which accounts for most of his wealth, by taking a poll. Over the last year, Musk has sold tens of billions of dollars of his company's stock.

One of the questions is whether he will want to leave.

Musk said, "Be careful what you wish, as you might get it."
