According to The Washington Post, the man who confronted the car carrying Musk's son was an employee of the ride-sharing service, who thought he was connected to the billionaire's ex- girlfriend.

Musk posted a video that showed one of his security guards moving towards a man in a vehicle and filming his license plate. Musk said the man in the car jumped onto the hood of the car carrying his son.

The events are not shown in the video.

The manager of the gas station told the Post that the police department responded to the incident. Multiple outlets have reported that the Los Angeles Police Department wrote in a statement that Musk hasn't filed a police report.

According to the Post, theLAPD's unit is looking into whether or not Collado is a suspect in the stalking case.

Madero said that although his unit has not been able to prove it, it could be a possibility.
