The best of the best is highlighted by the Pixel 7 Pro. The phone has a gorgeous design and comes with upgraded hardware that is better at artificial intelligence-based tasks, as well as a large battery with wireless charging and other extras.

It's a big selling point for the Pixel 7 Pro that it's always up to date with the most recent version of the operating system. Outside of any new features that may come with it, the device security model has been updated and strengthened by a dedicated team.

It's important but often overlooked. You shouldn't have to trust a company when it says something is secure, and the code for both the platform version and all updates are available for anyone to see. Despite any opinions to the contrary, it has proven to be a very secure platform, and plenty of people do.

The company has done a complete turn around and is now regularly updating and patching its phones. The brand now guarantees four Android OS updates and five years of security patches, which is more than any other company.

That makes the device like the S22 Ultra even more attractive. The phone has all the features you need in a flagship, including a 120Hz AMOLED screen that's outstanding for streaming videos, powerful internal hardware, strong cameras, and a huge battery with fast wired and wireless charging.

The OneUI 5 stable update was released just under a month after the official launch of the S22 Ultra, and it was based on the latest version of the operating system. With four guaranteed Android OS updates, the S22 Ultra will be the first device in the world to use the new operating system.

An extra layer of security that can separate business and personal data and allow you to hide sensitive information behind a password is added to the phone by the company. Personal and corporate security can be different.

The mid-range category was transformed by the Pixel 6a with great hardware and a clean software. The Pixel A series had a lot to offer, but they didn't match up on the hardware side.

The phone features the same great platform as the other two phones, allowing it to handle demanding games and multitasking with ease.

The software situation is just as good as the Pixel 7 series, with the Pixel 6a getting three guaranteed OS updates and monthly security updates for five years. The phone was launched with the latest version of the operating system, and the software was clean and free of bloatware.

You can't talk about a phone without mentioning it's cameras, and the Pixel 6a takes great photos even if you're not using it. The Pixel 6a is the best option for what you're paying.

The GALAXY S21 FE is a great overall choice if you're looking for value. The hardware is strong, the design is good, and the cameras are great. The battery life on the S22 is amazing and the 120Hz screen is the same as on the S22.

If you want to maximize value, the fact that the S21 FE will get four OS updates is a great choice.

ASUS Zenfone 9 review

(Image credit: Harish Jonnalagadda / Android Central)

I like the Zenfone 9. The Zenfone 9 is the same caliber of hardware as the S22 Ultra and other high-end phones due to the fact that it was shrunk without any of the features.

You get stellar cameras with Gimbal stabilization tech, a clean software that's a delight to use, and a battery that lasts a full day without breaking a sweat.

The size of the Zenfone 9 is ideal for one-handed use, which is something I can't say for most other phones.

What secure phone should you buy?

The best phone that money can buy is thePixel 7 Pro. The feature-set and the cameras were perfect for the Pixel 7 Pro. There's no other phone that will get updates as quickly as this one.

If you are looking for a phone that has a lot of features, the S22 Ultra may be the one for you. It combines a gorgeous design with the best hardware features you'll find today and is my second favorite phone. More updates to the S22 Ultra will make it a clear winner.

Are you looking for the best price? The way to get to this place is through the phone. You get a clean software and the phone has reliable hardware.

The Zenfone 9 will have to be mentioned here as well. ASUS deserves a lot of credit for making a small phone without sacrificing any of the hardware features, and the fact that you get a clean software with no bloatware makes the Zenfone 9 a brilliant overall package.
