Musk is attempting to abdicate responsibility to the people by running a poll on his website asking if he should step down. A genius businessman will leave important business decisions up to an online survey.

Is it a good idea for me to step down as head ofTwitter? Musk wanted to know on Sunday night. I will follow the results of the survey.

Over 5 million people voted, with 58 percent of them voting for Musk to go. Results from the poll should be in on Monday.

It shouldn't be a surprise to Musk that he doesn't have a lot of fans. The billionaire was loudly booed by an audience of thousands when he appeared at a Dave Chappelle show. This didn't deflate his titanium- grade ego.

"As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you may get it," Musk wrote 20 minutes into the poll.

It's meaningless since Musk's poll is a spectacle that will feed his thirst for drama. In the past, Musk has said that he doesn't want to continue as the CEO of the company indefinitely. There is no indication of a time frame in the poll.

If users vote for Musk to leave, he will be able to pull the ripcord whenever he wants, as long as he is following the will of the people. If users vote for Musk to stay, he can hang around for as long as he wants, but then he'll have to give up his throne and go to work for a better job.

He's going to be out either way. This poll may be the best thing that Musk has ever done for the social networking site.
