The former NBA player is accused of hitting one of his daughters in the face.

Court records show that the NBA player was arrested early Sunday and released on a no-contact order.

According to a copy of the police report obtained by The Miami Herald, one of his daughters was hit during an argument at his Miami home. The report didn't say which of the two girls was hit.

According to the police report, the girl was accused of being disrespectful to his mom by the man. He punched her in the jaw after she denied it, leaving her bleeding.

The girl contacted her mother who went to the home and picked up the two girls and their two brothers.

According to the report, when officers went to his home, he told them that the teenage girl was sad because he had told her a lie. He invoked his right to not speak.

The allegation against him was denied by him in a statement.

"I wouldn't want to assault my children or anyone else, especially me," wrote the basketball player. I love my family and especially my children. As a father, I need your help as we protect our privacy.

Miami Police did not reply to a phone message.

There is no lawyer for the man. He received his masters degree from the University of Miami on Saturday.

The Phoenix Suns' player of the year was Amare Stoudemire. He played for the New York Knicks for five years. He played for the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat before moving to Israel. He retired last year.

He made six All-Star teams and averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebound per game.
