Saturday Night Live didn't have to worry about reality when it came to turning Donald Trump into a joke.

They were up to their tricks on Saturday. James Austin Johnson opened the show as Trump, and the real president did the same thing.

The show's cold open showed Johnson as Trump did an ad for a trading card.

It seems like a lot, but Trump cards are each 99 cents. It seems like a scam but we love Trump cards.

Johnson's version of Trump is ridiculous. It's not the same as the real former president. True to form, Johnson's Trump launches into an explanation of his NFTs that touches on some of the most popular video games of all time.

Johnson's impression was a delight and you never know what's going to happen until he gets there. The impossibility of figuring out what SNL made up and what actually happened is hilarious. The cards from the real world were not good.
