A Russian tank unit deliberately attacked another Russian position in Ukraine, report says, illustrating vicious rivalries within Putin's army

According to a new report, a Russian tank commander attacked another Russian position in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukranian during the summer.

One of the clearest examples of the vicious in-fighting that has plagued President Putin's military throughout the war is the incident.

A Russian drone operator told the paper that he saw a Russian tank commander drive his tank toward a group of Russian national guard troops and shoot at them.

The soldier said that he has left Russia.

The national guard is not part of the armed forces of Russia.

The Russian war effort was affected by a number of rifts. The forces led by Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, are one of the power centers.

According to the paper, the Russian military appears to have limited coordination with any of them.

There was no unified command, there was no single headquarters, there was no single concept, and there was no unified planning of actions and command. It was going to be a loss.

When Kadyrov and other Putin allies criticized the Russian military's retreat from a city in Ukraine in October, the tension between the two groups spilled out into the open.

The New York Times reported that Kadyrov said that the general should be sent to the front to wash his shame off.

"Send all these pieces of garbage barefoot with machine guns straight to the front" was the opinion of Prigozhin, according to the paper.
