The two companies have operated separately even though they were acquired by the same company. As per a new leak, we might see a cross over of Lenovo's branding for its laptops and phones to a phone from Moto.
According to leaked images shared by The Tech Outlook, the same faux carbon-fiber finish as the ThinkPad line of laptops is being worked on by Moto. The ThinkPhone prototype has the same style as the other ones.
This is the first time we've seen a new type of device from the company, though it doesn't come as a huge surprise. We can see some sort of integration between the ThinkPhone and the ThinkPad line.
It's not clear which market segment the device is aiming for, but the leak may give it away. The phone will be powered by the same chip as the Moto Edge 30 Ultra. It will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512 gigabytes of internal storage. The new type of phone will be business oriented, according to the specifications.
It has some of the hallmarks of the ThinkPad brand in addition to the styling. There is a red button at the upper left corner. It is similar to the TrackPoint center button.
According to the leak, this device will have a 6.6-inch display with a 1800 x 2400 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. There is a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor on the back.
The 5,000mAh battery will be enough to get the device through at least a full day of use without a charging port.
This leak doesn't give away information about the price or availability of the phone. The ThinkPhone will give many of the best phones in the world a run for their money.
