  • Google Voice has gained a new update that should improve call quality.
  • The service now automatically switches between Wi-Fi and cellular networks, depending on which one offers better call performance.
  • It is available to all Google Voice customers.

The update made it easier to make calls even if the network was down. When necessary, the service will switch between the cellular and the wi-fi networks.

One of the services that doesn't get a lot of improvements is the platform. An "intelligent network switch" is meant to ensure users have a better call experience.

The best network will be selected if the current network fails. Even if you switched to a wi-fi connection in the middle of a call, you would still be stuck with a cellular network.

Better call quality is expected to be a result of the update. The enhancement is only available on the mobile app, so it's not clear which platform it's for. The new feature is available to all users of the internet phone service.

It's a good addition to a service that doesn't get a lot of love from the internet giant. A new feature that allowed phone numbers from local carriers to be used on the platform was added in October.

By long pressing the app's icon on the home screen, you can call ortext someone directly. Quick access to your most recent contacts was provided by it.

Carrier-forwarded calls from a linked number were among the features that were removed when Voice was shut down.
