Donald Trump evoked last year's Jan. 6 insurrection and then said it was time for the FBI and Justice Department to be "dealt with."
The threatening messages were seen as a clear dog whistle by critics. A majority of gun owners voted for Donald Trump. In the event that Trump tried to seize control of the government, his Oath Keeper supporters had a massive arsenal of weapons in the Washington, D.C. area.
In a Truth Social post, Trump insisted that the FBI was involved in a "coordinated effort to change election results" to make him a loser. Nearly 1,000 rioters have been indicted for crimes related to the insurrection that day, but he insisted that it was justified.
Trump told his followers on Truth Social that the FBI and DOJ should be dealt with.
Trump supporters on Truth Social blasted the FBI as the "apogest" and members of "organized crime" which could endanger agents.
The editor of Conde Nast legal affairs called Trump's message brutal.
Zaleski said that he was continuing the rhetoric that encouraged violence against the U.S.
Trump was the president during the time he’s complaining about happened. His DOJ. His FBI. His crimes. This is the exact speech he gave on January 6th. He’s continuing the rhetoric that incites violence against the United States and his thugs know what “must be dealt with” means pic.twitter.com/M1qpGC0PIa

The group Republicans against Trumpism urged readers to imagine the outrage that former President Barack Obama would have felt if his followers took action against the DOJ and FBI.
Critics think that Trump's attacks show how frightened the former president is about being indicted. At least three criminal referrals against Trump could be made to the Justice Department.
