The team announced Saturday that Trubisky will be the starter for the game against the Carolinas on Sunday.
Trubisky will start in place of Pickett, who remains in the protocol after sustaining a concussion in the first quarter against the Ravens. In practice, Trubisky had split first-team reps with Mason Rudolph, who was subsequently upgraded from doubtful to out.
