The Great Salt Lake State Park has announced that the wreck of a 120-year-old ship has been found in the lake.
The hull of the W.E. Marsh No. 4 has been exposed by the water of the lake.
The ship was part of the Southern Pacific Railroad fleet and was used to transport workers building the Lucin Cutoff.

Shearer said that the ship plied the lake's waters in several different roles.
One of the first boats to come out here in 1901 was used to ferry people back and forth to the construction site. He said that it was used to push barges.
Shearer told ABC4 that the 40-foot craft was given to the Sea Scouts to teach young kids the art of boating.

Shearer said that there are a lot of wrecks on the Great Salt Lake.
The park encourages people to come and see the sites because Shearer has said that there is a rich history out here.
Shearer said it's exciting to see a piece of history that people can see, but it's also sad that the lake is low.
There's trouble out here. He said there were problems.

PBS reported that the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere, is drying up because of a megadrOUGHT. Climate change causes a decline in precipitation and people use more water than the lake can support.
Romney said last week that a shrinking Great Salt Lake poses a threat to Utah and other states.
Reducing water usage in Utah and the West is needed to save the Lake.
He warned that the dust from the lake could be harmful to the health of everyone in the USA.
