Musk suggested that the journalists were trying to cause harm to him and his family by "doxing" him.

The billionaire returned access to the accounts of several journalists Friday night after accusing them of "doxing" him by revealing his live location by posting about his private jet's movements.

After the suspension was lifted, Musk replied to a user who wrote that the only reason journalists would want to dox him was because they wanted him and his family harassed or harmed.

There is no other reason.

Users were given a choice between "Now" and "In 7 days" when Musk asked when he should bring back accounts that doxed his location.

58.7% of users voted in favor of lifting the suspension, compared to 42% who voted for it to be lifted in seven days.

CNN's Donie O' Sullivan, Drew Harwell, and Ryan Mac were all banned by Musk.

On Thursday, the reporters were suspended for reporting on the suspension of Jack Sweeney's account.

The journalists mentioned Sweeney's account but did not mention Musk's location. Harwell criticized Musk's commitment to free speech in his final post.

Mainstream news outlets have been involved in a tug-of-war with Musk. Musk said that he was inspired to see the love of freedom of speech by the press.
