The work of the House committee investigating the U.S. Capitol riot will be remembered for a long time, according to Watergate lawyer John Dean.
Dean said that the House panel was taking a historic look at the presidency.
According to reports, the committee is considering charging Donald Trump with insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding, and conspiracy to defraud the United States, for the violence that erupted among his supporters.
Dean said that it had to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt in a federal court.
He said that the committee has to get to the source of everything. The committee doesn't have the tools at the Department of Justice to do that They rely on what they get from the source. What is happening at the committee is very similar to what is happening at Justice.
