Mickey Joseph is no longer a member of the Nebraska football team.

The athletic department said that Joseph is no longer associated with the team. After firing Scott Frost following a 1-2 start, the Cornhuskers named him their interim coach.

Joseph was charged with assault by strangulation or suffocation after a woman said he punched her and pulled her hair.

He was placed on administrative leave by Nebraska.

According to the AP, it's not clear if Joseph received a pay cut. If he is fired for cause, the university does not have to pay out the rest of his money.

The court will hear Joseph's case on January 30.

Rhule was hired by the Cornhuskers as their new head coach. After Rhule was hired, it wasn't clear if Joseph would stay on the staff.
