Jack had an embarrassing solo hooligan moment in Palermo. The song he sings in the street is a Vaudeville-era tune called "I'm forever Blowing Bubbles," which is the anthem for West Ham United. Jack is a drunk West Ham supporter and he is yelling in the streets of Palermo. There's a lot of history there.
West ham fans traveled to Palermo for a match wearing T-shirts with the words "Mafia" on them. The Palermo supporters didn't like this. The police claim they came under missile attack while trying to break up the riots that broke out after the match. There were 17 people who went to the hospital and 20 people who were arrested. It was a big deal. The Guardian reported on a morning after.
One eyewitness told Guardian Unlimited: “West Ham fans behaved like animals, roaming the streets, bottles in hand searching for anyone to fight.”
