The former president said he was the best ally he had.
During his address to the annual President's Conference of Torah Umesorah at his National Doral club in Miami, Donald Trump heaped praise on the Jewish people and highlighted his support for Israel. He said without proof that some Democrats in Washington hate Israel with a passion.

The 76-year-old Republican was criticized by his own party for dining with a white supremacist and a rapper. After the meeting, West, who is now known as Ye, said that he loved both Jews and Nazis.
The former vice president called on the former president to apologize for the meeting.
At the time, Trump said he didn't know his dinner guests' views.
Trump didn't pay attention to the episode on Friday. He spoke about the importance of speaking out against antisemitism in his own address.
Trump said that we must never ignore the vile poison of antisemitism or those who spread it. "We have to confront this hatred with one voice, we have to confront it everywhere, and we have to confront it very, very strongly."
The audience interrupted his speech.
"I think I'm the best ally you've ever had," he said.
