Is it weird to watch an F-35 fighter jet bounce and go nose-to-the-runway before it crashes into a building?

While the pilot of the Marines' F-35B jet was attempting to land at a naval air base in Fort Worth, Texas, the plane crashed and the pilot ejected. It's not clear what caused the crash or how injured the pilot was, though a Defense Department spokesman confirmed to the Washington Post that they were taken to the hospital.

As outrageous as the video is, the pricetag of the F-35 jet, which as of earlier this year had cost a whopping $1.7 trillion to " buy, operate, and sustain", makes the crash all the more crazy.

The Pentagon admitted earlier this year that it costs $9.1 million to fly a single F-35B like the one seen in the Fort Worth base video.

The video has a lot of commentary that is crazy.

Fighter jets are not supposed to bounce.

The person was similarly offended on the social networking site.

One user joked "So glad we went with this instead of universal healthcare" and another suggested that the money could be used to pay the descendants of slaves.

Free college for generations would have been provided by the amount the US has spent on the F-35 fighter jet. Congress spends money on student debt, so we have student debt as well.

The jet didn't accidentally shoot itself with its own gun, but it is still a reminder of the end of military spending.

NATO recently deployed its first killer ground robot.
