Alabama will have two of their top players available for the game against Kansas State.

The head coach of the Sugar Bowl told Chris Low on Friday that quarterback and linebacker will play in the game. The players won't opt out of the game, according to the coach.

Young and Anderson are likely to enter the draft. Many top draft picks have opted out of their respective bowl games to avoid injury ahead of the draft as a result of their decision to play in Alabama's non-playoff bowl game.

Alabama should have an advantage over Kansas State because of the presence of Young and Anderson.

The Alabama football team just missed out on a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Young is in the midst of another strong season despite missing time with an injury to his throwing shoulder.

In 11 games, the junior quarterback has completed 64.1% of his passes for 3,007 yards and 27 touchdown against five turnovers.

Anderson won the Nagurski trophy for the second year in a row after recording 10 sacks, 51 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, one interception and one pass breakup in 12 games.

Alabama has had a disappointing campaign in the past. The Tide didn't play in the SEC Championship Game because they didn't make the playoffs.

They have the chance to close out the season with a victory.

Kansas State finished second in the Big 12 this season with a 10-3 record, which was good enough for second place and a spot in the College Football Playoffs.
