The issue was highlighted by Phil in his images. There is no option to post a story from the app on the iPad Pro.
Story text from others is cut off depending on the layout of an image and there are graphical errors with interactiveInstagram post elements.
There are more than one complaint on the MacRumors forums about the display issues with the photo sharing app on the iPad when running iPadOS 16.
The problem with the larger iPad Pro is limited, but it is frustrating for iPad owners who are having problems. There aren't enough people who want to use an iPad app, so it's not a priority.
Adam Mosseri said earlier this year that there's not a big enough group of people to be a priority, though he did say that the company hopes to provide anInstagram app one day. Since the iPad is not a priority, it is not clear if the display issues that some iPad owners are experiencing with the iPhone app will be fixed byInstagram.
Some users have been able to fix the issue by going to the settings and selecting the option for bigger text. The web interface can be used to access the photo sharing service.
