According to sources, Joe Ingles is targeting his return against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday after nearly 10 months of recovery from a torn leftACL.
Once Ingles completes a final 5-on-5 workout Saturday, that will be considered the final hurdle in his comeback and will clear the way for his Milwaukee debut Monday.
Ingles has been practicing with the G League team.
Ingles, 35, signed a one-year, $6.5 million free agent deal with the Bucks in July and now brings his ability as a floor spacer and his years of proven playoff performances to Milwaukee The team welcomed and embraced Ingles' personality even though he was not with them yet.
The Jazz traded Ingles to Portland for the rest of the season after he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Ingles spent his entire eight-year NBA career with the Jazz and averaged 8.6 points on 42% 3-point shooting. In 45 playoff games, Ingles averaged 9.8 points, 3.8 Rebound and 3.8 Assists.
He won an Olympic bronze medal for Australia in the 2020 Tokyo Games.
