According to Musk, he lives by one rule.

The voice of people is the voice of God if you don't know Latin. It was cited in Musk's reasoning for unbanning Donald Trump in the name of free speech.

vox populi has returned to bite Musk in the ass. On Thursday night, a group of journalists who covered the billionaire were banned from the social networking site. Musk used the term "doxxing" to justify banning them. He was angry with the account that tracked his plane using public information. He seems to be targeting journalists. It's almost as if Musk is making up rules as he invents a game.

Musk hoped his online crowd of fans would justify his actions after he posted a poll about the suspensions. He wasn't right.

"Unsuspend accounts who doxxed my exact location in real-time" is a lie, but moving past that... The options were now, tomorrow, or later. "Now" was the winner with 43 percent of the vote. A majority of voters did not want a permanent ban.

Is Musk listening? Nope, that's not true. Absolutely, he did not. He apologized for too many options. Will conduct a new poll.

"Now" or "in 7 days" were the answer options. He threw a banana peel on the floor. "now" has racked up 58.5% of the vote as of this writing.

Musk's army of little guys can't distract people from the fact that they want real rules enforced with some kind of fairness. The public flight logs of our private jets are not something that we worry about.

There is about half a day left to cast your vote. Musk will listen to the people if they win. He's just trying to be reasonable. He doesn't make things up as he goes along, he creates different rules for his unbanned rightwing friends and the journalists who cover what he's doing. It's not possible. Yes, vox populi, vox dei.
