Beth Mead named BBC Women's Footballer of the Year 2022

A new contract has been signed by an English player.

He has scored 61 goals in 166 appearances since joining the team.

She helped England win the Euro in the summer, but is currently recovering from a knee injury.

"This club is where I want to spend the rest of my life," said Mead after signing the contract.

I know we can achieve a lot more together in the years to come, because I have grown so much here as a player and a person.

I want to win the biggest trophies in the game and I know that my ambitions match my own at the club.

I can't wait to get back on the field and help our fans.

The Women's League Cup and Women's Super League titles were won by Mead.

During Euro 2022, she scored six goals and claimed five assists, after recording 14 goals and 19 assists in 40 games for the team.

She was runner-up for this year's Ballon d'Or, as well as being voted the Women's Footballer of the Year.

Beth has become one of the best footballers in the world after five years with the club.

Over the past season she has reached new heights.

She achieved her dreams in the summer and we are looking forward to welcoming her back to the team.

The new deal with Beth is wonderful news. On the biggest stage of them all, she is a world-class footballer.

I'm sure she will approach the next few months with the positive attitude we all know Beth for, as she has handled success and adversity well over the past few years.
