It seems like the animated series is saying goodbye to the very best after Ash became the Pokémon champion. After the end of the current series, there will be special episodes that pay tribute to Ash.
The final episodes of the series will commemorate Ash and his Pikachu's 25-season journey to becoming Pokémon World Champion. The episodes show a glimpse at what the future may hold for Ash and his Pikachu.
The journey that began in Pallet Town and went all the way to Sinnoh is over. It makes sense for Ash to bow out at the top.
Even though Ash's journey appears to be over, the Pokémon series will continue. Liko and Roy will start their journey to be the best with the help of the starter pocket monsters. Expect Fidough and Lechonk to show up as part of a complete pokémon breakfast at the show.
