Jack Sweeney, the college student known for "Elonjet," said he wouldn't stop monitoring Musk's jet.

In an op-ed for Newsweek published on Thursday, Sweeney said he wanted to keep track of the plane on different social media platforms.

It is like letting the big guy win if I give up now.

In his op-ed, Sweeney said that he already has a presence on Mastodon, Facebook, Truth Social, and Telegram, and that he doesn't care that "Elonjet" was suspended from Musk'sTwitter.

I don't have to follow Musk's rules on other platforms and I don't have to worry about him watching my account.

Sharing someone else's live location is no longer allowed in most cases. Over 30 of Sweeney's accounts were banned on Wednesday because of Musk's privacy policy. The accounts that tracked other private planes were suspended.

He said that his accounts are gaining speed on other platforms even though he had 500,000 followers onTwitter.

Despite being banned from the social networking site, Sweeney is still a fan of Musk's ventures.

Musk alleged that the publication of real-time location information led to a stalker approaching a car carrying his son in Los Angeles.

Musk had previously stated that his commitment to free speech extends even to not banning the account following his plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk.

In the op-ed, Sweeney said that he didn't think his account could have led a stalker to his car.

He said that he didn't see how it could be connected.

Sweeney feels intimidated by the threat of legal action from Musk but doesn't think there is any legal ground for a lawsuit.

Sweeney said that he was posting information that was already out there.

Musk did not reply immediately.
