Carlos Rodn was traded from the San Francisco Giants to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported that the Yankees had an agreement with the 30-year-old.
At last year's trade deadline, the Yankees were linked to Rodn.
Rodn went 14-8 with a 2.88 earned run average, a 1.03 WHIP, and 237 strikeouts in 31 starts last year, and is coming off a second All-Star season in which he recorded a 2.88 earned run average, a 1.03 WHIP, and 237 strikeouts in The Giants failed to make the playoffs.
Rodn had spent the first seven seasons of his major league career with Chicago.
After making his MLB debut in 2015, he dealt with some injury issues and was named the opening day starter for the Chicago Cubs. He was limited to seven starts and four appearances in 2020 due to Tommy John surgery.
Since that time, Rodn has formed.
