The good news is that there is going to be a great team behind the project.
Ghost in the Shell will be developing the series, but they won't be alone. The kaiju designs in the series will be handled by Studio Khara.
A hit from the Manga anthology magazine, Kaiju No. 8, is a story about a Kaiju waste disposal team in a near-future Japan where they are constantly attacked by monsters. When a small Kaiju bonds with Kafa after an accident, he discovers he has gained the power to transform into a superpowered monster-human hybrid, and begins leading a double life as a new recruit in the Defense Force.
The new trailer confirms that Kaiju No. 8 won't be hitting screens until 2024. There is a lot of time to catch up with the Manga.
