While banning an account that previously tracked Musk's private jet, it also banned anyone from linking to similar accounts on other social media sites.

Despite Musk saying in November that he would not ban the account due to his commitment to free speech, the account was suspended. At the time, Sweeney was happy that Musk would allow his account to remain.

"If it wasn't for his stance, people would be after him for saying one thing and then banning my account," Sweeney said in November.

More than 30 other accounts that Sweeney used to track the private jets of celebrities were suspended on Wednesday. The update to the "Private Information policy" would prevent sharing someone else's live location in most cases.

There is an increased risk of physical harm when someone shares their live location on a social networking site. The company said in a statement that they would remove Tweets that shared this information and would suspend accounts dedicated to sharing someone else's live location.

Sharing links to Sweeney's "Elon Musk's Jet" Facebook page has been banned by the platform. "We can't complete this request because the link has been identified byTwitter or our partners as being potentially harmful," the error message said.

The updated policy states that sharing links to sites that track real-time location would be blocked.

The personal account of Sweeney was suspended hours after his jet tracking accounts were published.

He didn't think he'd suspend my account. I didn't think he would do anything because of the media attention.

Sweeney said he would continue to follow Musk's jet on other platforms.

He said he would fuck this guy. It's ridiculous. My account does not track the planes. I'm going to go crazy.
