After agreeing to a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Noah Synderth is on the move again.

The New York Post's Jon Heyman said the deal is for one year and $13 million.

According to Passan, Syndergaard is expected to join L.A.'s rotation.

The New York Mets pitcher split time between the Philadelphia and Los Angeles Angels. He was traded to Philadelphia in August after pitching well for the Dodgers.

During his brief time with the Angels, Syndergaard looked like he was back to his old self. In 15 starts, the right-handed pitcher had a 3.83ERA and 64 strikeouts.

After he was moved to the Philadelphia, things didn't go as planned. He had an average of 5.1 strikeouts per nine appearances and a 4.12 earned run.

Staying healthy was one of the keys for Syndergaard. He had Tommy John surgery in March of 2020 after he experienced elbow pain during spring training.

Syndergaard's return was delayed due to an injury. He appeared in two games in the New York Mets' relief corps.

The Angels signed Syndergaard to a one-year contract. He made up for the dip in velocity by changing his pitch count.

Syndergaard's pitch average was a career-low 98.6 mph and he threw it just 47.5% of the time. In order to keep hitters off balance, he increased the use of his two weapons.

It's unlikely Syndergaard will ever get back to the form that made him a sensation for the Mets early in his career, the 2023 season could be a better indicator of what kind of pitcher he will be.

The Dodgers are taking a low-risk, high-reward bet that Syndergaard can become a mid-rotation starter as they try to make the playoffs.
