It may be opening a window after closing some doors. There is a new completely free version of the excellent Unreal Tournament 3 that you will be able to crossplay with friends across all of the aforementioned platforms.

There is no requirement to play Unreal Tournament 3 X, according to its Steam page. The award-winning first-person shooter is completely free.

The single-player campaign from Unreal Tournament 3 Black and the Greed and Betrayal gametypes will be included in the game if the listing is correct.

We are pretty sure that all of this is legit because you can see in the SteamDB that the Unreal Tournament 3 Black assets have been replaced with the ones shown above.

I think it is legit due to the fact that Epic wouldn't confirm or deny any of this when we asked. The company wouldn't tell us if it's a mistake, a vestigial project, or a reason for the page changing.

The page has been updated after we published the story. The title will be available in the future. Stay on top of the news. It sounds like it's confirmation to me.

Do you want to feel younger? The game was 15 years old last month.

There isn't a listing for the new UT3X on GOG or the Unreal games on the store at this time. We think they will show up after the game announcement is made official. Hopefully a release date.

The server for six Unreal games, including UT 3, UT 2004, UT 2003 and the original UT, will be shut down. I don't think UT3 was the best, but I think I'll be happy with this result. I can always play the others via the internet.

The game is currently unavailable and will be available in the future. Stay on top of the news.
