The airline is going to be in Charleston, South Carolina, in the beginning of next year.

South Carolina's most populous city will be added to the carrier's route map in April of 2020. Three daily routes will be flown from Charleston International Airport by Spirit.

  • Fort Lauderdale.
  • Newark.
  • Philadelphia.

The second route-map pin in South Carolina will be Charleston, joining the one in myrtle Beach.

SPIRIT AIRLINES

"We're excited to connect the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina, with three of the biggest metro areas on the East Coast," said John Kirby in a statement.

The new flights are being marketed as great for locals and visitors. The airline will offer many one-stop connections from Charleston to popular destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean via its gateway in Fort Lauderdale. Locals will be able to get more access to major cities in the Northeast thanks to service to Philadelphia and New York City.

The chair of Charleston's aviation authority said that the Northeast and Florida have been top areas of origin for visitors.

Charleston has become a popular destination for travelers looking for outdoor adventures. There has been an increase in visitors due to the city and its attractions.

One of the most interesting routes is from Newark. After Southwest Airlines left the airport, Spirit won some of the slots that were left. In order to increase competition at the airport, the Department of Transportation gave permission to Spirit.
