According to reports, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, a hip-hop dancer, actor, and co- host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has died at the age of 40.

Boss died at a hotel, according to a report from the Los Angeles medical examiner. A representative for Boss told NBC News that he died by suicide.

Nine years ago, the boss and his wife, Allison Holker, wed. Boss wrote "happy anniversary, my love" in a post on the social media platform.

Holker confirmed his death in a statement.

She said that she had to share her husband's death with everyone. Stephen lit up all the rooms he entered. He valued his family, friends, and community more than anything else. He was the epitome of a family man and an inspiration to his fans.

He left a legacy that will be felt for a long time. There won't be a day that we won't honor his memory, that's for sure. Privacy is requested for myself and our three children.

Holker said he would save the last dance for Stephen. Boss and Holker have three children together.

Stephen "tWitch" Boss was born in Alabama and studied dance at Southern Union State Community College and Chapman University. Boss was a runner-up on the talent show.

Boss was a runner up in So You Think You Can Dance. He was a judge on the show in 2022.

Boss became a permanent fixture on the show after he DJ'd as a guest on the show. He became a co- executive producer in 2020.

Representatives of Boss, Holker, and the Los Angeles Police Department have been contacted by the news organization.
