Stephen Boss, who was a runner-up on Star Search and So You Think You Can Dance, was found dead yesterday from a gunshot wound. The man was 40 years old.
Police were called to a Los Angeles hotel and found Boss dead.
Stephen Boss was born on September 29, 1982. He competed in So You Think You Can Dance in 2008 and later served as an all star and team captain on multiple seasons. He taught at South County Classical Ballet with Katee Shean.
He made his debut as a DJ on Ellen in 2014, after performing a dance routine on Dancing with the Stars the previous year. Boss was named a co-executive producer by Ellen.

The boss was in Ellen's game of games. He and Allison Holker hosted Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings on Freeform and Disney+.
