There is a digital photo frame that we love. If you missed the sale on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can get the Aura Carver for the same price as before using the promo code WIRED. The deal runs through the end of the year.

I've been using Aura's photo frames for the last few years. I can share my pictures with my parents even though I'm halfway across the country because they're always watching me. I can use my own frame to cycle through the thousands of pictures I take every day.

The Aura Carver is something we like.

Digital frames don't look like frames of yore. I don't want it to look like a computer screen and I don't want it to look like a picture that you won't notice until it changes. The most natural looking of all the models we've tested is the Aura Carver, which is our top choice. I've heard people say that they didn't notice the screen was a digital one until the image changed.

The Carver is the cheapest item in Aura's lineup and comes in either black or white. It has the lowest resolution of the bunch at 800dpi, whereas the other frames have a 1920dpi resolution. If you put your face in the screen's face, you would only notice. You won't find a good frame for this price if you try cheaper frames.

You can include drawings or old photos with the Aura app, which makes it easy to add and manage images. To be able to work it, you don't have to be tech savvy. If you gift an Aura frame to someone, there's a gift setup process you can do prior to gift giving so you can continue to be a member of the frame if you want. These are nice gifts if you want to spoil yourself.
