Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters Tuesday that quarterback John Wolford is expected to be unavailable for Monday night's game against the Green Bay Packers due to a neck injury.
The Rams claimed him off waivers after he was let go from the Carolinas. He was thrown into action in the first quarter of Thursday night's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
He led his new team on a 98-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to win the game. He found Van Jefferson and he scored a 23 yard touchdown. The Rams won for the first time in six games.
Matthew Stafford is unlikely to play again this season because of a spine injury. Stafford was not expected to need surgery, according to McVay.
Both Stafford and Wolford missed time with concussion symptoms. In the two losses, he threw for 389 yards, one touchdown and three turnovers. He only took three snaps in the beginning of the game.
