The streaming service is making a live-action adaptation of My Hero Academia. Obi-Wan Kenobi producer Joby Harold is writing the script for the streamer's next film, which will be directed by Shinsuke Sato.
A universe where the majority of humans are born with quirks is the setting for My Hero Academia. He was accepted into the prestigious UA High School for heroes-in-training when he got super strength from All Might. He met other quirk-wielding students while working to get his true strength and come face-to-face with powerful enemies.
It is not yet known who will play the role of Midoriya or who will play the other supporting roles. Casting can affect the remake.
The Death Note film and Cowboy Bebop didn't capture the essence of their source material, so they didn't have the best reputation when it came to making live-action adaptions. It is hoped that the streamer will take this feedback into account before starting work on My Hero Academia and other live-action anime adaptions.
There is no word on a release date for My Hero Academia, but it is set to hit theaters in Japan and will be available on streaming services.
