After a few days of placating his right wing followers, Musk decided to host a comedy show.

Musk was booed by the crowd when he was a special guest.

Dave Chappelle performed at the Chase Center. Chappelle brought Musk out on stage at the end of the night.

Chappelle wanted to make noise for the richest man in the world.

The crowd booed as Musk walked out. The side booing Musk drowns out the rest of the cheers as they battle it out with a chorus of boos.

Musk is rattled by the video as he just paces around on stage. Musk isn't used to being booed by people in real life.

Chappelle tries to save Musk by making fun of himself.

"Seems like some of the people you fired are in the audience," joked Chappelle, referring to the thousands of employees that Musk has laid off or forced out since acquiring the company.

Chappelle was unable to break through the crowd's sentiment against Musk. According to members of the audience, what was caught on camera was how it played out for them as well.

James Yu said that he was at the Dave Chapelle show in San Francisco. A majority of the crowd booed. He has 18k people. It becomes a corncob.

"@elonmusk just got booed like I've never heard before on stage withdavechapelle andchrisrock," said the VC. The crowd booed for 10 minutes when he couldn't say anything. He wasn't favored at home. He must not have gotten enough feedback.

At the end of the show, Musk shouted "I'm rich, bitch!", a reference to one of Dave Chappelle's phrases from The Chappelle Show.

In the hours after, Musk attempted to tell his own story on the social networking site.

It's almost as if I've offended SF's left-wingers.

The videos show that Musk isn't telling the truth. This was at a Dave Chappelle show. After his recent anti-trans material was roundly criticized by those Musk would call "woke" or "leftist," Chappelle declared himself an "anti-woke" comic. Musk has made fun of gender identity issues and used pronouns.

The audience should have given Musk a warm reception. They did not.

A number of videos of Musk on stage with Chappelle were uploaded on the social networking site after the show. The account vanished soon after the videos were uploaded. A prompt that says "this is from an account that no longer exists" is displayed when trying to view a user's account. It's not clear if the account was deleted or if it was taken down. For years Chappelle's show's attendees have been required to leave their phones in a pouch that locks so video can't be taken and posted on the internet. The person behind the account appears to have sneaked their phone into the room to take the videos.

The four videos uploaded by Matt Novak can be seen on the video sharing website.
