According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Kyler Murray will be out for the rest of the season after he tore his knee in Monday's game.
Murray was taken off the field with a non-contact injury. The break was another difficult one for the team.
When healthy, the 25-year-old is one of the league's best dual-threat quarterbacks and has been to two Pro Bowls.
In 11 games this season, the Oklahoma product has completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 2,368 yards, 14 touchdown and seven interception while adding 418 yards and three scores on the ground.
After Murray left the game against the Pats, Colt McCoy came in and is expected to be the starter for the rest of the season. He is best known for his collegiate career at Texas, but he is also an experienced backup who can keep the offense going.
The 36-year-old has played for a number of teams during his career.
