There are a number of new and improved features in the newest version of Apple's mobile operating system. The Apple Music Sing karaoke mode is one of the new features.
End-to-end iCloud encryption is being branded as Advanced Data Protection in iOS 16.2 and means data like Notes, iCloud backups, and Photos are now protected with end-to-end encryption There are now 23 data categories covered by the protection, up from 14.
The main vocals of a song can be quietened with Apple Music's karaoke mode.
Apple Music will have its own karaoke mode with the new version of the app. Real-time lyrics and the ability to adjust the volume of vocals are included in Apple Music Sing. There is a duet view if you want to sing with a friend. The feature is available on the later versions of the phone.
iPadOS 16.2 adds external display support for Stage Manager and a new freeform app that allows you to take notes and share files on a single canvas. It is ideal for small teams that want to communicate and track notes in meetings.
The HomeKit architecture that Apple had originally planned to introduce with the new version of the operating system is now included in both iPadOS 16.2 and iOS 16.2. The architecture improvements will come after Apple supports the Matter smart home standard.
