Fatima Regragui is 60 years old. When her son was a professional player, she never went to see him play in person. She lives in Paris and Walid was born there. It was not done once.

She has been in the Middle East since the start of the World Cup and has been looked after by the Morocco FA. She has been his lucky charm.

Walid Regragui is a football player. The former right-back didn't think he'd be sitting on the bench of the national team during the tournament. He had been rumored to replace Vahid Halilhodzic at the helm. He will face France in the semifinals of the World Cup.

The Montconseil council estate in Corbeil-Essonnes is located to the south of Paris. He was asked by his father to do well at school. It was Walid who did it. He earned his bachelor's degree before going to school to study economics.

He began his managerial career in Corbeil, where he worked for many years, and his career took off from there.

Regragui said thatudi changed his life. He told me that I could become a pro when I was 19 years old.

On Wednesday, he will be in the commentary box for his friend's most important game.

It was never in doubt that Regragui would become a manager after he retired as a player.

He was a very smart person. He was liked by all the players. His social skills were great according to his manager.

Regragui's ability to speak French, Arabic, and English allowed him to bring back two players to the national team. They didn't want to play under Halilhodzic. They came back after talking with Regragui.

Following Halilhodzic's exit, Regragui won the African Championship withWAC Casablanca, defeating Al-Ahly 2-0. He was ready for more self- validation. He took the opportunity to replace Halilhodzic, even though he didn't think he'd get the job.

Regragui had a goal of reaching at least the semifinals at the Africa Cup of Nations when he signed his contract, but there was no pressure on him to perform immediately. The World Cup is no longer seen as a bonus.

Some of the players who were called up by the manager were born in Canada, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain and Italy, but chose to represent their country of birth. Regragui's success is dependent on how he's been able to unite these players.

The first African team to make it to a World Cup semifinal is being praised by Craig Burley.

"We are a real team, a real squad, where everyone fights for each other, and that's all down to him," said the player.

Regragui regrouped everyone and found the right replacements and solutions after the team lost two key players through injury before the tournament.

His 4-3-3 formation is solid and his squad is well-drilled. The best defence in the competition, with just one goal conceded in five games, and with the ball, they rely heavily on their two central defenders. It works, and they won't change anything.

Regragui is destined for greatness as a manager. There is still a trophy to be won, but he is trying to get a job in the French league. The first African country to reach the semifinals of a World Cup was made by Regragui's team.

Fatima is determined to bring the trophy home with her.
