A source told Jeremy Fowler that Cole Beasley is going to sign with the Buffalo Bills. He fills a need at a slot receiver for the Bills this season.

He spent two weeks on the practice squad before retiring. He had four catches for 17 yards in the two games he played for the team. He was retiring after 11 seasons because it was time to be a full-time father and husband, according to his agent.

He replied to a fan asking why he retired from the team, "They weren't going to use me." There are too many guys getting paid too much for not playing.

The wide receiver was let go by the Bills after no trade partner was found for him.

The news of Beasley returning to Buffalo was reported by the network.

Beckham visited the Bills over two weeks ago, but he left without a contract.

The number of catches was the same as the year before, but the amount of receiving yards decreased. He had only one receiving touchdown this year, his lowest in four years.

The slot receiver position was supposed to be filled by Isaiah McKenzie, but he has six drops and less receiving yards in the slot than he did in the regular season. The slot player is leading the team in touchdown with four.

Brown was re-signed to the practice squad. At the beginning of October, the wide receiver broke his ankle and was placed on injured reserve.

While being unvaccinated, Beasley tested positive for COVID-19 and missed a game. He had previously threatened to retire over his thoughts on the COVID-19 policies. He deleted his account after he labeled it a distraction. Over the past few months, he has shared his thoughts on various teams on social media. There were multiple fines for COVID-19 protocol violations.

In November, he said that he wouldn't miss that part of professional sports because he didn't think Nets basketball player Kyrie Irving should be suspended for his antisemitic comments.

The best year for the wide receiver was in Buffalo. He finished the year with 967 yards and four touchdown catches. He received first downs 53 times.

He played for the Dallas Cowboys for seven years and had 319 catches for 3,272 yards and 23 touchdown.
